A report by the bank, Credit Suisse, predicts that by next year the richest 1% will possess over half the wealth of the world. And the left is wringing its hands because all the Academy Award nominees this year are white.
The push for sexual equality and racial equality, the rights of the disabled, the rights of children, the right to die, the right to possess marijuana, the right to breast feed in public, the right to marry anyone you’re not already related to, the right to shit in gender-neutral lavatories, punishing campus Don Juans, writing “she” instead of “he” when you don’t know which to use, being nice to Muslims even after Charlie Hebdo, protecting kids from bullies, pedophiles, and books with long words that might bruise their self-esteem, and having more diverse Academy Awards in 2016 – these are diversions, distractions, feel-good issues that can be won and that allow the left to ignore the shameful fact that it has utterly failed to stave off global feudalism.
