Considering car-makers' disastrous economies in purchasing ignition switches and air-bags, think what an adventure automobile travel will be when competitive forces tempt the manufacturers of driverless vehicles to start cutting corners.

Well we would all be safer with driverless cars and the next new thing would be passengerless cars. We could just send them out to pick up our desired goods and return. Progress really is a small step forward at a time.
